The Augusta Resource Corporation acquired a 3 year option to purchase the private lands at Rosemont Ranch (2400 acres) which include a copper ore body.
Via offerings of 'special warrants,' Augusta is attempting to gather the funds needed to purchase the land outright.
Augusta is also carrying out geological studies to establish economic viability of the mine.
