Save the Scenic Santa Ritas
presented by Lainie Levick at the SCCF 3/25/06 meeting
Save the Scenic Santa Ritas is working proactively to:
- alert its base of individual and institutional supporters;
- alert political leaders (Pima and Santa Cruz Counties; State
and Federal representatives) to our concerns;
- reestablish dialogs with the Forest Service, ADOT and other
agencies that would be approached by Augusta;
- explore various paths to purchase the land and mineral rights (permanent solution).
Rosemont Mine: SCCF Role
- Support the efforts of Save the Scenic Santa Ritas.
- Focus our efforts on the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors;
LD30 representatives and senator (McClure and Paton; Bee), and the Forest Service.
- Exercise other contacts in coordination with
