Chapter One - Introduction

Our community believes that sustainable growth in NE Santa Cruz County can be guided by three principles:

1. We can retain the open spaces and rural character of our community even as residential and commercial development continue, and we can, at the same time, plan for wise use of groundwater, a limited resource.
2. Quality commercial and residential development at the Sonoita Crossroads is worthy of our community's guidance.
3. Cooperative partnerships of local, county, state, and federal agencies will make the best decisions affecting our landscape.
